{"id":63846,"date":"2014-12-20T12:08:46","date_gmt":"2014-12-20T05:08:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ekuatorial.com\/2014\/12\/aceh-tamiang-villagers-learning-organic-farming\/"},"modified":"2014-12-20T12:08:46","modified_gmt":"2014-12-20T12:08:46","slug":"aceh-tamiang-villagers-learning-organic-farming","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ekuatorial.com\/en\/2014\/12\/aceh-tamiang-villagers-learning-organic-farming\/","title":{"rendered":"Aceh Tamiang villagers learning organic farming"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Langsa, Ekuatorial<\/strong> &#8211; At least 25 villagers of Aceh Tamiang district will be learning theories and practices about <a href=\"https:\/\/ekuatorial.com\/food-agriculture\/father-and-son-developed-eco-pesticide-changing-conventional-farming-of-east-aceh\" title=\"Father and son developed eco-pesticide changing conventional farming of East Aceh\">agriculture<\/a> in Babo village, Bandar Pusaka sub-district, at the Field School for the first time, said the coordinator of the event, recently. <\/p>\n<p>Different from conventional learning, Field School will be teaching eco-friendly agriculture, including on how to plant using Intensification Rice System and more sustainable pesticide. &#8220;The most important thing about School Field is observation,&#8221; said Andri Priwanda, coordinator Babo School Field and volunteer for Sheep Indonesia Foundation. <\/p>\n<p>Petrus, project manager of Sheep Indonesia Foundation, said that School Field was developed because of the notion that paddy was not beneficial as livelihood, mere for daily lives. &#8220;Villagers are still farming in old ways.
