Those mangroves come from a very young mangroves in the protected zone area. Meanwhile, the protected zone area or so-called &#8220;green line&#8221; is the area within one kilometer from the coast and must be preserved.<\/p>\n<p>Head of Enforcement Unit FMU, Region III Aceh, Amrin, said the perpetrators of encroachment received a warning letter and then allowed to go home. &#8220;Currently, the prosecution is still a public coaching. In the future, if there are forest encroachers, they will be sanctioned under the law and handed over to police, &#8220;he said. Illegal mangrove wood, according to Amrin, become raw material for charcoal production. Encroachers said, they earn 80-100 thousand Rupiah per day by selling the mangrove wood.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, local people reported that the perpetrators of mangrove encroachment not only some residents of Aceh Tamiang. Most of them come from Pangkalan Susu, North Sumatra. Spokesman for the non-governmental organizations Tamiang Care, Matsum, said that awareness of villagers in Pusong Kapal village about the importance of mangrove is high.
