Monitoring post asking people to vacate the area within a radius of 6.5 kilometers from the summit.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Thick gray smoke leaning to the southeast and glide to the east,&#8221; said Sandi Manengkey, officers from the Monitoring Post of Soputan in Silian Tiga, Southeast Minahasa. He added that the standby status has been in effect since 18.00 or three hours before the volcano erupts.<\/p>\n<p>Nolfie Tamod, the villager of Ranoketang, Silian District, Southeast Minahasa, said the villagers worried. &#8220;This eruption occurred at night, so that villagers are worried. Worried if volcanic activity increased at midnight when people fall asleep,&#8221; he said. From their reports, observed volcanic ash had reached the District of Langowan Raya.<\/p>\n<p>The eruption began at 20.53 local time. Lava down to the eastern slopes and crasher heard from the peak. Soputan is one of the most active volcanoes in North Sulawesi. Soputan last erupted is in March 2015.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Geological Agency, the villagers around Soputan need to be aware of main lava flood during the rainy season.
