BKSDA Patrols for Leopard Appearance in Banyumas

The residents of Dawuhan Kulon village, Banyumas, Central Java have been restless about the appearance of an allegedly Javan leopard (Panthera pardus melas). Central Java Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA) has started the monitoring to prevent further human-leopard conflict that might happen. “We were patrolling around the village on Thursday night to make sure the story is valid,” said Rahmad Hidayat, Central Java BKSDA Forest Ranger Coordinator on Friday.
