Big Ships Cruise Disturbed by Musi River Silting

Complaints from ship transport entrepreneurs who are members of the Indonesian National Shipowner Association (INSA) about shipping channel silting of Musi river drew attention of South Sumatra governor, Alex Noerdin. Chairman of INSA South Sumatra region, Kurmin Halim, explained that silting of Musi river disturbed the cruise of ships which have large diameter and are now difficult to be docked to the port of Boom Baru, Palembang.
