Sentence of probation has been imposed on the three defendants forest encroachment Gunung Leuser National Park (TNGL) in the region of Southeast Aceh, Wednesday (04/23/2014). All three defendants are officials of Southeast Aceh Regency.
They have been proven legally and convincingly guilty of committing a crime “to occupy forest land illegally” violated the provisions of Article 50 paragraph (3) a and b of Law No. 41 of 1999 on Forestry. Kutacane District Court has ruled on probation for six months imprisonment and a fine of three million dollars, respectively against Ir. Khairul Anwar, Head of Highways and Human Settlement (Bina Marga dan Cipta Karya) of Southeast Aceh; Drs. Rajadun, Head of the Regional Disaster Management Agency of Southeast Aceh and Rahmat Hidayat, member of the House of Representatives for Southeast Aceh.
