We all know that forests play a role in mitigating climate change. However, we don’t know what kind the ability of forest that can help us to adapt to climate change? This knowledge gap has prompted a study of forest-based rural community strategy in a bid resilience against climatic variations across three continents. Preliminary results of this research in Indonesia shows that forests play a key role in how people cope with natural disasters.
