Clean water supply in Jakarta declines amid major flooding

The input of clean water for processing in Jakarta has fallen by 6 cubic meters per second because of a reduction of supply through the Kali Malang canal from the Jati Luhur dam due to major flooding in Bekasi, West Java. “Normally the water input reaches 17 cubic meters per second, but now it is reduced to only 11 cubic meters per second,” Wildan, an official at a crossing between the canal and the Bekasi River, said on Tuesday as quoted by tempo.co.
