Government Firmness Tested by Chevron in The Judicial of UU PPLH

Law on Environmental Protection and Management (UU PPLH) materially tested by the General Manager of South Sumatra Light (SLS) Minas PT Chevron Pacific Indonesia (CPI), which has been found guilty in corruption case against CPI bioremediation project by the Jakarta Corruption Court judges on October 17, 2013. He reasoned that UU PPLH contrary to the 1945 Constitution, especially chapters 59 and 95 which provide an opportunity for law enforcement officers to work on their own ways. It was denied by the Ministry of Environment which assesses the applicant’s argument only in the form of assumptions.
