Lilifuk Kuanheun, a Local Wisdom that Moved Up

Sawu Sea seems hostile as west season coming this year. High tide, complete with large waves, also come to hit Eno Loles Beach, Village Kuanheun, District of West Kupang, NTT, Friday (17/1) afternoon.

This should be a harvest moon in the waters of Kuanheun, based on lilifuk local wisdom that they have been embraced since 1970s. Literally, lilifuk means big pond. According to the rules of lilifuk, people are only allowed to take marine products twice a year, that is at the beginning or end of the year and mid-year.
