Being a conservation district were turned out unfavorable. People lived far inland and are ignored by the government.
Nanga Bungan village, a village which is a benchmark to reaches the upstream of Kapuas. Later, people committed to making Kapuas Hulu as Conservation Regency. On the one hand, nature conservation is a proud thing. In fact, the locals glorifying these efforts as a cultural heritage that must be maintained. Their areas are considered as the lungs of the world. However, on the other hand, residents of Nanga Bungan also feel abandoned. They live in remote, border and minimal attention. The quality of education, health, and income per capita were not increased.
