Sarjan Lahay is a freelance journalist in Gorontalo, a province on the island of Sulawesi which is often referred to as Serambi Madina. He started his journalistic career in 2018, by becoming a reporter in several local media. Sarjan is very interested in environmental issues and wants to share the stories of the people of Gorontalo who are affected by environmental pollution to reach a wider audience outside the province. In early 2021 he became a freelance journalist at Mongabay Indonesia until now.
